New Standard GMS, PMS, and APMS Contracts Published by NHS England

NHS England has released new standard contracts for General Medical Services (GMS), Personal Medical Services (PMS), and Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS). These contracts, along with their variation notices, reflect updates to the contract Regulations as of May 2024. Key changes include the requirement for practices to share digital telephony data from 1st October 2024 and the introduction of an online registration service or a new paper form for patient registration starting 30th October 2024.

These updated contracts have been distributed to commissioners for dissemination to GP practices, ensuring that all practices are formally notified of these significant changes.

Practices should review these documents carefully to ensure compliance with the new requirements and prepare for the upcoming deadlines. This is a critical step to align with NHS standards and continue providing quality care to patients.

For more information and to access the full documentation, please reach out to your local commissioner or visit the NHS England website.
