There’s an old saying that no plan survives first contact with the enemy. In our case, the enemy isn’t the CQC. It’s the real world.
I know the Harmony CQC programme from the inside. I built it, and I hit my own barriers along the way. That’s the curse of knowledge: when you know something well, it’s hard to see where someone coming to it fresh will get stuck.
So, this is not me handing over a plan and saying, “Do it.” Members will hit real-world barriers that are different from the ones I hit. That’s expected. It’s also the most valuable thing we can learn from.
That’s why we take feedback seriously. It’s how we keep being a learning organisation rather than one that thinks it’s finished.
When one member finds a way past a barrier, that learning goes to everyone. We adapt, we adopt what works, and we share it across the whole membership. No reinventing the wheel.
