The Harmony CQC community has just welcomed its 1,000th member. It started as a small group of practice managers comparing notes on the one letter that frightens every practice — the CQC inspection notice — and has grown into the place hundreds of practices now turn to when that letter lands.
To mark the milestone, founder Daniel Vincent did something more useful than a badge: he read every GP assessment report the CQC published between February and June this year — more than 370 reports in total, with the focused “Returning to Good” assessments at the centre of the analysis.
What he found reshapes how you should think about your next inspection. The number of practices that keep their rating and the number that get written up along the way are two very different things — and the gap between them isn’t about how good the care is. It’s about something else entirely, something almost every practice can influence long before an inspector ever walks through the door.
