Here’s what you need to know:
•Practices will receive a £20 payment per episode of care for GP-initiated or GP-reviewed Advice & Guidance requests.
•This means ACP-initiated requests must be reviewed by a GP to be eligible—a bit of a kick in the teeth for our highly competent ACPs.
•There’s an adjustable cap on the number of requests you can claim, but it can’t drop below the activity levels you’ve already delivered—another reason to get involved quickly!
•Claims need to be submitted manually through CQRS within 12 days of the month’s end.
•Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will monitor activity closely, with local quality audits conducted if significant increases in activity levels are detected.
This ES could provide additional financial support while enhancing care quality, but practices need to be mindful of the GP-review requirement and ensure efficient processes are in place for claiming and the resulting work.
