“Feeling Good” and “Knowing Good” Aren’t the Same Thing

Most Practice Managers, GP Partners, PCN Managers, and Clinical Directors we speak with feel confident their practice is doing right by patients. Fewer feel equally confident they could prove it, on the day, to an inspector who’s never set foot in their building before.

That gap sits behind a live session Harmony CQC is running on Wednesday 30 September: CQC Update — 200+ Inspections: What We Know Now and What the CQC Won’t Tell You, followed straight after by their first Monthly Q&A Session.

10am–11am looks at what’s actually happening across the 200+ practices inspected so far under the current returning to good inspection. 11am–12pm then opens the floor: leaders’ own questions, answered live, with priority given to Harmony CQC’s Simple Path members.

For our community, sessions like this matter for a simple reason. CQC readiness isn’t Enhanced Primary Care’s own programme — but the leaders navigating it are exactly the leaders we exist to support. Peer connection only works when the information behind it is current, and this is about as current as it gets: drawn from inspections happening right now, not a static handbook.

It also connects back to something we say often. A well-supported leader, working from clear evidence rather than a feeling, makes calmer decisions — and that calm translates directly into how consistent and safe care feels for patients, long before any inspector arrives.

If you lead a practice or a PCN, or carry governance and quality responsibility on their behalf, this is worth two hours of your Wednesday.

How to join: it’s a Teams webinar, so once you register it lands straight in your diary. Once you’re registered, you’ll also be sent a short form to submit your question ahead of time, so it’s ready to be answered live.

For more updates on this webinar as they land, Harmony CQC’s free community is where they’ll be posted first.
